This specialized class was created specifically for bodypainters. This half day, hands on, workshop will help painters take their photos to the next level of awesome. In this class you’ll learn the editing techniques I use to add drama and mood to create beautiful photos. The class is designed with bodypainters in mind, with the goal of keeping things simple, quick, and easy.
I’ll walk you through, step by step, the Lightroom and Photoshop techniques I use to create my images. We’ll cover topics like: RAW vs jpg, correcting color cast, adding missing paint, correcting painting errors, adding strength and drama using advanced tools for contrast and clarity, using filters, and adding additional light or shadow to focus the viewer’s attention. I’ll cover the Develop module in Lightroom, Photoshop masks and layers, useful shortcut keys for editing, and powerful Photoshop plugins. This will be a lecture, and a hands on section where you’ll use Photoshop with my coaching.
Students must bring a camera that supports Manual mode and has a hot shoe socket for a flash. You will also need a laptop with Lightroom CC, Photoshop CC, and Google Nik Collection installed. Most editing techniques taught should work with earlier versions of Lightroom and Photoshop, but some features are only in CC.
