Take your photos to the next level with this four hour, hands on, workshop. In this class you’ll learn the lighting techniques I use to add drama and mood to create beautiful photos.
We will review various lighting styles to enhance your image, and then we’ll put these ideas to use in a hands on session, shooting a model with your own camera. You will learn the ins and outs of using lighting gear (off camera flash, hot light, remotes, umbrella), what manual camera settings to use, balancing ambient light and flashes. You don’t need a studio to use what you’ll learn here, and the gear costs less than $150.
Students must bring a camera that supports Manual mode and has a hot shoe socket for a flash. You will also need a laptop with Lightroom CC, Photoshop CC, and Google Nik Collection installed. Most editing techniques taught should work with earlier versions of Lightroom and Photoshop, but some features are only in CC.
