It’s cherry blossom season in Tokyo. In the Naka Meguro neighborhood they light up the trees along the river. There are tons of shops selling food and alcohol along the long walking paths on both sides of the river. It was very crowded when I was there, but also it was a big friendly festive party. In Japan they have cafes filled with adorable cats to keep you company. The cats are well loved and cared for, and off limits when they are resting. Also, you are not allowed to pick them up.
