Join me this March to experience the cherry blossoms in Japan! I put together a custom tour hitting my favorite spots in Tokyo and Kyoto, along with nights by Fuji and rabbit island. This is going to be crazy fun, along with a ton of photography tutoring and talks. But non-photographers are welcome, it’s all about the experience. The tour will be at most eight people. Night is another world. I love to explore at night when traveling. #sacredplace #travelgram #night #japan #wanderlust #kyoto #travel
Sometimes the tiniest things are the most interesting.
Be strong like bamboo, bend but don’t break. #bamboo
I love to visit places both during the day and at night. It always amazes me how different they are; the mood changes, the light is different, even the sounds are different. #night #travelgram #japan #instatravel #sacredplace #kyoto #temple #red
Rest house near Sanzenin temple in Kyoto. For this kind of shot I like to find a contrast between the straight dark lines of the trees and the random shapes and bright colors of the leaves. The most important thing I try to avoid is bright blank patches of sky showing through the trees. One bright spot can easily destroy the photo by drawing and dominating the viewer’s attention. There are just a couple tiny bright spots in this photo, but I think even from that, you can start to sense how strong they are. #fallcolors #travelgram #instatravel #japan #kyoto #wanderlust
